Ibrahim Danishmand a Sufi saint of the qadiriah
Tarika. He was in direct lineage from Hazrat Imam Hussain, son of Hazrat
Ali (Ra). He hailed from Persia, came to Bengal during the reign of Sultan
Alauddin husain
shah and settled in sonargaon.
A highly learned man and a prolific writer, he was styled Danishmand for
his wisdom. He is said to have married either a daughter or a granddaughter
of Sultan Husain Shah. He lies buried in Dargabari (Mograpara) of Sonargaon.
His mausoleum is a quadrangular building with a chowchala hut-type
